We currently operate three ambulances over the public roads in response to emergency calls. Our support truck was purpose-built to assist in wildlands and water rescue situations, transporting personnel and equipment to remote areas. In off highway rescue situations our resources include a side-by-side UTV, equipped with wheels or tracks, depending on the season, and outfitted with an insert designed to safely transport and allow for patient care as well as a power boat appropriate for river and lake rescue use. We also have access to additional boats, an air boat, and several four wheel drive vehicles capable of launching boats and delivering rescue equipment to remote locations. We can even call on a spotter airplane, weather permitting, as well as a UAV or drone when appropriate. Fryeburg Rescue works closely with other agencies such as Fire Departments, Law Enforcement, and other Ambulance services, never hesitating to call upon the appropriate resource, including Lifeflight of Maine and DHART medical airlift services, or additional manpower to provide the highest level of extrication and patient care possible. In an emergency situation, never hesitate to call 911 immediately. We have the resources to get to you, regardless of your location, and provide the best possible care.
